Types of Breast Implants
Round Breast Implants
Round breast implants enhance the breasts to have a soft and rounded appearance from the upper to lower part of the breasts, suited for patients who already have a full upper role but desire to increase their sizes, which will make them look more accentuated, making the silhouette look clearer.
Teardrop Breast Implants
Teardrop breast implants enhance the breasts for a more natural appearance. Breast Augmentation Techniques

1. Inframammary Incision
This is the most common technique, with the incision placed in the breast fold. The scar is hidden well and the wound is easy to care for. It also allows the placement of larger implants.
2. Endoscopic Armpit Incision
Using an endoscope with an incision in the underarm, this method allows the surgeon to clearly see tissues and blood vessels, reducing trauma and speeding recovery. The scar is hidden in the armpit crease, but implant size options may be limited.
Around-the-Areola Incision
This technique places the incision around the edge of the areola, resulting in minimal visible scarring and easier wound care. It is suitable for patients with larger, thicker areolas. However, it may increase the risk of nipple numbness, infection, or capsular contracture.
Implant Placement Options
Doctors will have techniques for placing silicone depending on the patient’s existing breast structure and the desired outcomes.
Above the Chest Muscle (Subglandular Breast Implant)
This surgical approach is suitable for patients who have dense and large chest muscles, enough to let the silicone implants rest nicely without rubbing against the skin. The silicone implants will rest above the patient’s muscles. This surgical approach is less painful than the submuscular breast implant approach.
Under the Chest Muscle (Submuscular Breast Implant)

Will the feel of the implant be the same as my natural breasts?
Yes, however the softness of the implant depends on its size. If the silicone implant is larger in size, it may feel harder than small silicone implants.
Is the silicone implant permanent? How often would I need to change implants?
If the patient does not encounter any issues or difficulties in regards to the implant, then it will never need to be changed. However, there may be a new grade, version, or generation of silicone implants being released every decade that may be of higher
Is there a possibility that my implant may rupture or pop?
There is a very small chance that the implant, once inserted into the body, will rupture or pop. It may happen on occasions such as getting stabbed with a very sharp object
At what age is it appropriate for me to get breast implants?
