There are 2 methods for cheekbone reduction as follows

01 In-mouth Incision is an approach which focuses on resizing the front cheekbone. This one is recommended for the patients whose cheekbones are not too popping out. It can be done without a stitch removal process as the suture used is absorbable.

02 Upper Ear & Mouth Incision is an approach which relates to cutting/adjusting/reducing the cheekbone for those with popping cheekbones noticeable from aside and upfront. This approach is more complex than the first one as it requires many bone cuttings. However, this procedure gives a noticeable result and the incision is hidden around the hairline above the ears.

We recommend undergoing the procedure when the patient is 20 to 45 years of age. The patient is able to undergo the surgery starting when they are of legal age to before they reach menopause

We don’t recommend patients who are of 50+ years of age to undergo this procedure as their bone density, especially around the face, may have decreased over time in addition to the changed bone structure
